It all begins with an idea.

Living Out Loud is a national storytelling and advocacy initiative spotlighting the real lives of people living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC)—a stage of breast cancer that is often misunderstood, underfunded, and underrepresented.

I created this project to travel across the country, document the powerful stories of women living with MBC, and bring their voices to the forefront. At its core, Living Out Loud is about visibility, connection, and change.

💔 The Problem

Despite increased awareness around breast cancer, those living with Stage IV—the only stage that’s considered incurable—receive less than 5% of breast cancer research funding. Many of us are diagnosed in the prime of our lives and face job loss, loss of health insurance, and limited access to resources that could extend or improve our quality of life.

🌈 The Vision

Through interviews, a docuseries, a podcast, and real-time storytelling, this project will educate, inspire, and drive action. We want to show what life with MBC really looks like and why our lives deserve more than pink ribbons and one month of recognition.

🧱 The Barrier

This is a self-funded project—and while I’m committed to seeing it through, your support is what will make it sustainable and impactful. Travel costs, filming equipment, insurance, production, and honorariums for participants all add up.

✨ Be a Hero in the Story

Your donation fuels every mile, every story, and every moment of connection. With your help, we can:

  • Amplify MBC voices

  • Provide tools, hope, and community

  • Push for healthcare reform and research funding
